No place tops this place in NY/NJ. Fresh baked S. American goodies for any occasion. You will not regret it, and the girls are fast, efficient, and service you immediately. They do understand English, but it does help if you know a little Spanish. Great for a pickup and go, but if you actually want to eat there it gets pretty crowded. Parking is a challenge, and there's meter cops everywhere. Just a heads up...cash only and they do have an ATM inside the place. Worth the price!

Went to la nueva bakery today with my wife who is from Uruguay, we live far from bakery , but were craving fresh sandwiches so we went. I'm glad we did , the sandwiches were fresh and delicious, the portions are generous, we also tried the potato salad which was authentic and delicious, my wife tried the spinach pie which she loved and said it was just like the way her mom would make it , were saving the yummy donuts and churro for later , we recommend if you want delicious authentic Uruguayan food , fresh and very reasonable priced you must try la nueva bakery, thank you for great food and experience.

The Alfajores weren't too sweet and had maintained their structural integrity to be enjoyed. The Queso Empanadas were good too.

Went here for the first time since I moved to Jackson Heights in January. I had so much trouble choosing what I was going to have. Everything looks amazing. In the end I went with a Beef and a Spinach Empanada which I read so much about. They were both awesome. Very generous with the filling and there was no grease at all on the crust. Both were very tasteful and price was right. Empanada this good for $2 each. Can't beat it!!!! I will certainly be back for Empanadas and more.

One of the best bakeries around. Their bakery items are good and the best part is their ice coffee, its the best ice coffee in the area. I went there several times just to get the ice coffee. Their fruit cakes are good too. Unfortunately i forgot to take photos of the item but I will make sure next time I take photos.

Love this local bakery cafe. Empanadas. Dozens of different baked good and desserts. Breads. Good coffee. Yerba mate. Frozen pastas and empanada tops. Not Colombian. Uruguay owners. Pan Latin American flair.
